Hey everyone,
At this time we are currently still seeking sponsorship for the 2010 season and are actively working all avenues, so that we
may continue racing. With the economy still shaky, it is within reason that alot of businesses are quite cautious with their
spending but with some good leads going into the New Year we will remain optimistic for the 2010 season. If the leads do not
follow through, it will be nearly impossible to compete in 2010.
The final drivers meeting for Sunset International Speedway was held on Sunday December 13, 2009. There was a high turnout of
racers to listen in and with the amount of racers in contact with us, it would seem that it is going to be the place to race
in 2010. The points fund alone has been increased to a minimum of $5,000.00.
We have been to the speedway and it is looking awesome as well. The curbs and walls are in place and the banking, well that
just speaks for itself. The paving will happen in the New Year.
On a serious note, we would like to offer our well wishes and encouragement to Gary and Donna Reynolds and the entire Reynolds
family as Gary has been diagnosed with cancer and is fighting the fight of his life. As in racing, the Gambler in the 17 was
a force to be reckoned with on the racetrack and know that he will fight the fight and wish him all the best in this battle.
On Sunday February 14, 2010 at the Horsepower Grill at the Barrie Molson Centre. They will be hosting a Daytona 500 party for
Gary. Tickets are $10.00. We encourage everyone to come and show their support for Gary. Tickets are available at Bayside in
Barrie or at the door. Hope to see you all there!!!!
